Has anyone had a horror story from going to a hair salon that you just wanted to cry?
I met a young hair stylist while in the mall and i figured why not try her out. Her hair was nice and boy was i wrong!! I visited her salon the following week and I just went in for a shampoo and style. The shampoo went fine but when she curled my hair I left looking like Oprah did when she first started her career. It was horrible and to top it off I believe she had her curlers to hot because i started having hair breakage at the top of my head. I had to cut my hair and start all over how sad!!

I am so afraid of hair salons. I think I am spoiled from having a mom that is NOT a licensed beautician but went to beauty school up to the point of having babies so I reaped the benefit of having a mom who does hair at the house. Every single time I've tried to give a beautician in a shop a chance, I have always been let down. If I need my hair washed and ends clipped, I come out with my long hair SHAVED in the back. HUH? or not wanting a perm because I don't need one to allowing to 'just put this texturizer on this part' and it's a freaking PERM!! One time though, I let my cousin (that does EVERYBODY'S hair but ain't no beautician either) "style" my hair for a wedding. I was just coming through that growing my hair out phase from having it cut really low so it was lengthy and I was proud. My cousin got in my head, needed to clip my ends and I should have known when I felt the scissors outlining my right ear that something was up. Needless to say, when I got up, I just stood there. I had the cutest ASYMMETRICAL do, hair was shaved in the back, laid off that right ear. But you know...DAMMIT!...I didn't ask her to do that!!! She was supposed to be pinning my hair up for the wedding. I have more. I think I'm getting a little carried away. lol
